Are you looking to gain a better understanding of how concrete coating or epoxy can benefit you? You've come to the right place, check out our FAQs. For any additional questions, please contact us at 406-580-5878.

  • What is the preperation process for epoxy coating?
At Yellowstone Coating, we find that the preparation process is the most important step in ensuring a the final product meet our standards. There are multiple methods that can be used to prepare the concrete, depending on what the existing floor looks like. We utilize concrete grinders for uneven or rough surfaces, and make sure that any irregularities or cracks in the concrete surface are properly filled and leveled. Grinding concrete allows the pores to open up, which in turn, allows the epoxy to properly grip. We also take the time to wash, degrease and chip away any hard-stuck materials on the floor so that the final product will come out smooth and level.
  • How long does the epoxy process take?
Similar to any project, the timeline depends on the size of the space and the preparation needed before the application of the epoxy coating. For an accurate estimate of time and cost, please contact us for a consult.
  • How long do I have to wait before moving items into my space?
There are many variables to take into consideration before answering this question. How large is the space? How heavy are the items you are working with? Has the environment been suitable for the epoxy to dry within a normal period of time? If the floor still feels tacky to the touch, we recommend waiting to bring anything into your space. Our team is happy to consult you through this process, so please reach out with any questions.
  • How long do epoxy floors last?

  • How much does it cost?

  • I've heard epoxy floors can be slippery, is this true?"
